If you have never been to an Elderhostel, it's an inexpensive way to spend a week doing things you love. This one is titled, “Capture Northern Michigan: Watercolors and Photography and Tai Chi Chuan: An Ancient Art of Wellness”. It’s held at the Kettering 4-H Center 14901 4H Drive Tustin, MI 49688 USA phone: 231-829-3421 ($630)

A mix of watercolor, digital photography and Tai Chi is offered  everyday and all the meals and lodging are included. The watercolor and photography instruction is split so you can participate in the photography and your spouse/friend in the watercolor; or share a session together. It’s a beautiful facility on a small lake with a dock and kayak/canoes at your disposal.

There are other activities; walks with a naturalist,  story telling and making cider. A local artist is coming in to share his work one evening, and both the photographer and I are doing an evening lecture.
