Guntzviller 2008

 

  • On St John, U.S. Virgin Islands, taught a watercolor class at the Artists' Assoc. of St. John, U.S.V.I. in April of 2008.


  • Currently serving on the board of directors of the nationally known artcenter, traverse city.


  •  Workshops, 2008, are in Traverse City, Mackinac Island, Glen Arbor and Tustin, MI.


  • Gallery representation in  Elk Rapids by Blue Heron Gallery, Traverse City by Belstone Gallery, and Mackinac Island by Lilacs and Lace

  • Invited to do a two person show, January thru April, 2007 at Becky Thatcher’s Next Door Gallery in Leland

    • Member's Opening show at the Downtown artcenter's new Gallery location

  • In the Artworks Alliance Traverse City at Twisted Fish Gallery, Elk Rapids, MI; A “quilt” type transparent watercolor made by sewing different watercolor papers together and on top of each other. Contained transparent watercolor, cotton thread and 100% cotton watercolor paper.
  • In the Potters and Sculptor’s Guild, Traverse City; A sculpture of a woman called “Spring” made of mixed media.
  • In the “From Women’s Hands” show; accepted to display multiple works at their annual show. Percentage of the proceeds go to the cancer fund at Munson Hospital, Traverse City, MI

 

Mary has a B.A. of Fine Arts degree from Wayne State University in Detroit.  Since 1992, she has been teaching drawing and painting. Mary is experienced in mural work, oils, acrylics, watercolor, pastel and sculpture. She had taken a seven year hiatus until January 2007 from being a full time artist due to family illness, but is now active again, bringing a fresh eye and new sensitivity to her work.
